Send each printout to the right shop printer
BenchKey Printing uses PrintNode to send labels, receipts and documents to printers connected to your shop computer. BenchKey creates the printing account and covers its cost.
Give each printout a printer
Set printers for labels, receipts and documents by location, then choose whether everyone shares those settings or each person picks their own.
- Print labels for the bench
- Send device labels at check-in and inventory labels to your chosen label printer.
- Route receipts and documents
- Choose a receipt printer for payment and drop-off receipts, and a document printer for invoices, estimates and full-page forms.
- Set team printer preferences
- Use the same printers for everyone or let each person choose their own. Business shops can set printers by location.

- Offline jobs wait
- If a printer or its computer is offline, the job waits until it reconnects. BenchKey shows the warning.
- Print errors stay visible
- Failed or unconfirmed print jobs show a notice in BenchKey, so staff can check the problem.
Common questions
Setup guide Label and receipt printing setupDo I need to pay PrintNode separately?
BenchKey creates and pays for the managed printing account on Pro and Business where available. Settings shows either PrintNode credentials or the BenchKey Print Connector setup. Existing legacy connections use their own setup.
Can I set this up on my phone?
Finish direct-printing setup on a Windows or Mac computer connected to the printers. Follow the PrintNode or BenchKey Print Connector instructions shown in Settings. If neither is offered, use available legacy settings or browser printing.
What happens when the shop computer goes offline?
The print job waits and prints when the computer reconnects. BenchKey shows a warning while it is offline. Check the job's status before sending another copy.
Can I still print through my browser?
Yes. Receipts, invoices and ticket sheets can be printed through your browser on every plan. Device labels require Pro or Business.
