Walk-ins become tickets in under a minute

Search a returning customer, take in one device or several, capture every identifier and estimate, choose the store and queue, and hand the bench a complete ticket. The same configurable intake can run on a customer-facing kiosk.

The current walk-in flow keeps the counter moving

Search once to find a returning customer or create a new one, then capture the device, repair category, service request, IMEI, serial, passcode, price estimate, queue, notes, referral source, and destination store without leaving the intake. A successful submit creates the real queue ticket immediately.

One customer, more than one device

Add every device in the same drop-off instead of creating duplicate customers or repeating intake. Each asset keeps its own category, issue, identifiers, access code, and estimate while the customer, assignment, store, and internal notes stay together.

Returning history appears while you type

BenchKey matches the customer by phone and email and recognizes devices seen before. Staff can open prior history from intake, avoid duplicate records, and understand the repair context before anything reaches the bench.

Your form asks what your bench needs

A drag-and-drop builder controls the questions, order, and required fields. Add the device questions your team actually uses, remove the ones it does not, and keep staff-led intake consistent across every shift.

Kiosk mode for the counter

Put the form on a tablet facing the customer and let them type their own contact info, no more misspelled email addresses read out loud. The ticket is created with the customer attached (deduped by phone and email), and the device label prints before they’ve put their wallet away.

FAQ

Check-in & kiosk questions

Do I need special hardware for the kiosk?

No, kiosk mode runs in a browser on any tablet or spare laptop. An iPad on a stand works great.

Can I change what the check-in form asks?

Yes, completely. The form builder lets you add, remove, require, and reorder fields, including custom device questions.

Does check-in create duplicate customers?

No. BenchKey matches by phone and email, so a returning customer’s history attaches to the same record.

Can one customer check in several devices together?

Yes. Add as many assets as the drop-off needs; each keeps its own repair details, identifiers, access code, and estimate inside one intake.
