Repair shop software you can just talk to
BenchKey has an AI assistant built into every screen. Tell it "text customers when their repair is ready and follow up with a review request" and it sets up the automations, writes the templates, and shows you exactly what changed.
Recorded from the real app: the assistant sets up pickup texts and review requests from one message, and lists every change.
It configures, you approve
Every setting in BenchKey, statuses, automations, templates, business hours, intake forms, can be changed by asking the assistant. It makes the change, lists what it did in plain English, and you can undo or adjust anything. Setup that used to mean a safari through twelve settings pages becomes a two-line conversation.
It writes in your shop’s voice
Status emails, review requests, follow-up texts, estimate explanations: the assistant drafts them using your business profile, so a one-tech watch bench and a five-counter phone store do not sound like the same template. Edit anything it writes, or tell it the tone you want and let it redo the lot.
It answers "how do I" questions instantly
Ask what the deposit toggle does, where review settings live, or why a ticket is not showing in a queue. The assistant knows the system and your configuration, answers in context, and can jump you straight to the setting it is describing.
On the bench, not just in settings
The AI also works the day shift: it summarizes long ticket histories before you pick up the phone, drafts customer updates, suggests the right repair category at intake, and writes replies to leads. The boring typing goes away; the judgment stays yours.
FAQ
AI that runs your setup questions
What can the AI actually change?
Statuses and their automations, email and SMS templates, review requests, lead settings, business profile, intake forms, and more. It lists every change it makes, and nothing is hidden: you can open the setting it touched and see it yourself.
Will it do things I did not ask for?
It makes the changes you ask for and asks first when it is unsure. Every change is listed in a change log you can verify or undo, so nothing happens silently. You stay in charge; it just types faster than you.
Whose AI is this, and where does my data go?
The assistant runs on Anthropic’s Claude models. Your data is sent only to process your request and is not used to train models, by us or by Anthropic.
Do I need to know anything about AI to use it?
If you can text a coworker, you can use it. There is nothing to install or configure: open the assistant, type what you want, done.
