Quote the repair while the customer is still at the counter
Find the part or enter its cost, stack every component the job needs, add your shop’s markup and labor, and watch the customer price and margin resolve in one place. Then text or email the final number—never your cost breakdown.
Recorded from the real app: two parts, shop markup, a labor template, live margin math, and a customer-ready estimate built without leaving the ticket list.
One quote can carry every part
Search a connected parts source by name or SKU, use the cost from your own order history, or type a cost manually when the supplier is not connected. Add as many components as the repair needs; each part stays named and editable while BenchKey keeps one labor charge for the job.
Your pricing rules do the arithmetic
Use percentage or fixed markup, choose a saved labor template or enter custom labor, and see the customer price update immediately. Tax mode, quote rounding, minimum margin, and the margin warning follow the shop settings, so the counter does not invent a different formula on every shift.
Labor prices live where staff use them
Admins can rename, reprice, add, or remove labor templates inside the calculator instead of hunting through a second settings screen. A shared team note puts the pricing rule directly under the answer—useful for things like water-damage bench fees or a margin floor.
Send the answer, not your cost sheet
Enter a mobile number or email and send a clean estimate containing the final customer price. Parts cost, labor cost, markup, and margin remain inside the shop. When the calculator opens from a line item, the chosen price can be applied back to that work.
FAQ
Price calculator questions
Do I need a parts integration to use it?
No. Connected vendors make search faster, but every part name and cost can be entered manually. BenchKey can also surface costs from your own purchasing history.
Can one quote include more than one part?
Yes. Add as many part rows as the job needs. Their costs roll into one quote with one markup and one labor selection.
Does the customer see my costs or margin?
No. The send action includes the final customer price only. Part costs, labor, markup, and margin stay visible to the shop.
Can staff change labor prices?
The labor editor uses the same admin permission as other pricing settings. Everyone can use the templates; authorized admins can edit them in place.
