Turn one-time repairs into monthly relationships

Sell device-care plans and business support plans with a real billing cycle behind them: named plans, monthly or yearly pricing, a card vaulted at enrollment, and a member badge your whole team sees. In beta on every plan.

app.benchkey.com RECORDED

Recorded from the real app: review the payment-provider gate, open Gold Care, and inspect its pricing, benefits, and populated seven-member roster.

Plans your counter can actually sell

Create a plan in a minute: a name, a price, monthly or yearly. "Gold Care, $15 a month" reads better on a counter card than any discount flyer, and enrollment is just the customer’s email. The first cycle is due the day they join, and every cycle after lands on the same anchor day, with short months handled correctly, a January 31st signup bills February 28th and goes right back to the 31st in March, not the 28th forever.

Card on file, vaulted with Square

Add the member’s card once at enrollment. It vaults with Square Web Payments, the number never touches BenchKey’s servers, we store the brand and last four, nothing more. Removing a card disables it at Square and clears the reference. Members without a card still work: their due cycles draft an invoice like any other job.

Honest about where billing is today

The full recurring engine is built and in beta: cycles, card vaulting, retry-and-flag handling for failed charges. Automatic charging isn’t switched on yet, today each due cycle drafts a normal invoice for you to send or collect with one click, so money never moves without you. When automatic billing flips on, your plans, members, and vaulted cards are already in place. Nothing to migrate, nothing to re-enroll.

The whole team knows who’s a member

A member badge shows on the customer at checkout and on their tickets, Active, Paused, Past due, or Canceled, so the counter sees the true state before promising member treatment. Pause or cancel any member in one click; archiving a plan stops new enrollments and holds existing cycles instead of stacking surprise charges.

FAQ

Memberships & recurring plans questions

Does BenchKey charge my members’ cards automatically?

Not yet, and the app says so plainly. Today every due cycle drafts a normal invoice for you to collect with a click, so nothing is ever charged behind your back. The automatic-charging engine (including failed-payment retries) is built and in beta; when it switches on, your existing plans, members, and vaulted cards work as-is.

How is the card stored?

With Square Web Payments. The card number is tokenized in the browser and vaulted at Square, BenchKey stores the brand and last four digits only. Removing a card disables it at Square and deletes the local reference.

Do members get automatic discounts on repairs?

No, and that’s deliberate. The badge tells your team someone is a member; what that earns them, priority bench time, waived diagnostics, a discount, is your call at the counter, not a rule buried in software.

What happens when I change a plan’s price?

Future cycles only. Existing due cycles keep the price the member agreed to, and the change never rewrites history.

What if I archive a plan?

New enrollments stop, and existing members’ due cycles are held rather than billed. If you unarchive later, billing resumes from the oldest missed cycle, one cycle at a time, never a lump of surprise charges.
