BenchKey

Every store runs locally. You see the whole operation.

Each counter keeps its own work, register, stock, booking, and customer-facing identity. Owners get one Stores dashboard, one customer history, and a clean way to move people, parts, and attention between locations.

app.benchkey.com RECORDED

Recorded from the real app: the Stores scoreboard flags what needs attention, a target is set for one counter, and the workspace switches into that store.

A Stores dashboard built for the morning check

Choose today, week, or month and rank every store by collected revenue, invoices, tickets opened or closed, turnaround, open A/R, or target attainment. Each row carries its 14-day trend and register state; click a store and Reports opens already filtered to it. The exception strip calls out an unclosed register, drawer over/short, a store open with no sales, or low stock before it becomes a phone call.

The sale belongs to the store that made it

The sidebar switcher sets the operating location for the workspace. Tickets and intake stay with that store, All Tickets can filter across stores, and Quick Sale defaults to the active counter while still allowing an explicit store pick. Registers, drawers, receipt printers, card readers, and Square location mappings are configured per store, so each counter charges on its own device; warehouse locations never open a register.

Move stock with a paper trail

The same SKU has a separate on-hand count at each store. Create a transfer, send it, receive it, and keep both sides honest. Rebalance compares overstock and shortage across locations, suggests a source, destination, and quantity, then opens the existing transfer flow prefilled. Purchase orders can land at a chosen receiving store, and cycle counts remain store-scoped.

Booking and identity follow the counter

The public booking page lets the customer choose a location, then loads that store’s availability and writes the appointment there. Each store can override its public phone, email display name and reply-to, SMS number, review links, document logo and header, and ship-from address while anything left blank falls back to the business profile.

Give people the right store, role, and home base

Limit a team member to selected locations, give them a different role per location, and choose their home store. The bulk locations matrix handles a larger team without editing one row at a time. New locations can clone another store’s configuration, show a go-live checklist, and require open tickets and appointments to be reassigned before deactivation.

FAQ

Multi-store operations questions

Is multi-location included in every plan?

Multi-store operations start on Pro. Every active store is a seat on the same plan and includes that plan’s team seats; warehouse locations are free because they do not run a register. See pricing for the current rates.

Do locations share customers?

Yes. One customer record works at every location with the full repair history attached, while each ticket, appointment, sale, and stock movement keeps its operating location.

Can staff have different access at different stores?

Yes. Assign selected stores, set a role per location, and choose a home store. Owners remain unrestricted; for other team members, no location assignments means access to every location.

Can I move inventory between stores?

Yes. Transfers move one or more items through draft, sent, and received states. The Rebalance view also finds overstock at one store and a shortage at another, then prefills the transfer for you to review.

What happens when I close a location?

BenchKey checks for open tickets and upcoming appointments first. If any remain, you choose another active store and reassign the work before the location is deactivated.
