Offer financing on the customer's invoice page
Connect your approved Affirm merchant account so customers can choose "Pay with Affirm" on eligible unpaid invoices. Confirmed payments appear on the invoice.
Financing stays connected to the invoice
Customers use their invoice link, while your staff can see the checkout status and the recorded Affirm payment.
- Financing on the invoice
- Eligible unpaid invoice pages show "Pay with Affirm" below the card payment option.
- Checkout status for staff
- A banner shows when an Affirm checkout is in progress. Other payments on that invoice wait until it clears.
- Payment and refund records
- Confirmed payments are recorded as Affirm on the invoice. Staff can issue an Affirm refund from that invoice.
Setup steps
- 1
Save your merchant keys
Open "Affirm Integration" in Payments settings. With Affirm off, enter your public and private keys, then select "Save changes."
- 2
Test the saved keys
Select "Test connection." If the test fails, check the saved keys before enabling payments.
- 3
Enable invoice financing
After the test passes, turn on "Enable Affirm Payments" and select "Save changes." Eligible unpaid invoices can then show the Affirm option.

Common questions
Setup guide Affirm financing setupDoes Affirm cost extra through BenchKey?
Payments use your own Affirm merchant account at Affirm's normal rates. BenchKey adds no markup.
Which plans include Affirm?
Standard, Pro and Business include the integration. Your shop still needs its own approved Affirm merchant account.
Does Affirm use my Stripe account?
Affirm connects directly with your own merchant keys. Customers choose it on eligible unpaid invoice pages. It does not run through Stripe.
What if an authorized payment has not been captured?
BenchKey retries pending capture in the background. The invoice records the Affirm payment once capture is confirmed. An authorization alone does not mean the payment has been collected.
